Wow what are start to the Premier League season and one I’m sure one, that none of us were expecting.

After the subdued exit from Europe, the thought of going to The Emirates Stadium on the 1st day of the season seemed daunting. What was to follow will live long in the memory not only of the supporters that were present but every West Ham fan looking from afar. But it wasn’t just the winning but the style and confidence that the team showed that impressed and something that had been sadly lacking under Sam.

From that day, Slaven became an instant hero and with the help from the board, have assembled a squad of players that can compete with anyone in the Premier League. Up until the International break, we have accumulated 21 points from 12 games and sitting in 6th spot. That’s some achievement.

That proves that the result at Arsenal was no fluke and the way West Ham have gone on to win at Liverpool, Man City & at home to Chelsea show’s real character and reminds people of the old “West Ham Way”

The one thing that has impressed me is the quickness that the likes of Payet & Lanzini have adapted to the Premier League. Couple that with the form of Sakho, they have transformed the attacking dynamics of the team.  This tells me they are happy on and off the pitch and the environment created by Slaven & his backroom staff has been fundamental in achieving this.

Credit to everyone connected to the Club and on a personal note, especially my ex team-mates Slaven & Julian. 2 good football people and 2 good men. I’ve known Norm for over 20 years and I am so pleased he is back at the Club. A true West Ham legend who will give everything for the Club to be successful.

Onto Spurs and another 3 points please lads.
