Sofiane Feghouli is on the verge of joining West Ham – according to ESPN

West Ham United are closing in on signing Sofiane Feghouli after his contract at Valencia expired.

West Ham have reportedly offered the Algerian international winger a contract, and they are in pole position to land the 26-year-old.

Feghouli has reportedly also had interest from the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, but the Hammers are now confident of getting a deal done.

Feghouli’s arrival at West Ham would significantly strengthen Slaven Bilic’s attacking options, and he is very highly regarded.

Valencia had wanted to keep Feghouli at the club, but the turned down their contract offer – and is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League.

Feghouli made 31 appearances for Valencia last season, scoring on four occasions.

If Feghouli moves to West Ham he will become their second senior signing of the summer, following the addition of Havard Nordtveit from Borussia Monchengladbach earlier in the window.

This story pretty much ties in with what our very own ExWHUEmployee stated in his latest column that the club where very close to signing the Algerian international and a decision would be made in the next 12 days as the player is currently on holiday.

Other reports indicated that Sevilla had an interest in keeping Feghouli in La Liga however their current managerial situation with rumours linking Unai Emery to the Managerial position at Paris St Germain would almost certainly halt any moves they are trying to make at this time.
