Hello Hammers, here is Monday’s lunchtime round up.
Slaven Bilic says the West Ham players are stepping up to the plate without Dimitri Payet. (Independent)
Its now very clear to see that this is the case and that Dimi was our problem this season all along. Who would have thought that?
David Gold says Diafra Sakho will be back in the West Ham team soon. (Football Insider 247)
Good to have Diafra back, as he is another brilliant option to have. Although yet again, it all depends on how long he can stay fit for.
Robert Snodgrass says he was delighted with the team’s win at Southampton on Saturday. (Tribal Football)
He was absolutely brilliant on Saturday and for me, he is proving to be a top signing from the board.
Alexandre Lacazette is keen to leave Lyon this summer, with West Ham and Arsenal interested. (Talksport)
I do not think we will get him, as he will probably want to play in the Champions League. Don’t get me wrong, I would take him but he would be so expensive and is again a gamble as he is unproven in England.
Slaven Bilic says he does not know why he is being rumored to be sacked as West Ham manager. (Squawka)
If I am honest, I don’t know why either. We have improved massively since Christmas and Slav has been a big factor in this. I have never wanted Slav to leave and I still don’t, as I believe he is our man and he will take us to a new level.
Pedro Obiang says the 4-0 defeat to Man City last week inspired the players to victory at Southampton. (Essex Live)
As it should have too. That performance last week was unacceptable and the players needed to give a response. They did exactly that and I am so proud of them. Also, congratulations to Pedro on getting his first goal for the Hammers, it was well worth the wait!
