Following the success of our previous two years of events where our guests have included: Phil Parkes, Frank McAvennie, Stuart Slater, Alvin Martin, Steve Lomas, John Moncur, Keith Robson, Matthew Etherington, Martin Allen, Mark Ward, David Cross, Danny Gabbidon, Jack Collison, Julian Dicks, Ray Stewart, Dean Ashton, Alan Devonshire and Anton Ferdinand.  We now welcome Ian Pearce as our first guest of the season.

Ian Pearce joined the club in 1997 from Blackburn Rovers where he had previously won the league title thanks to Ludek Miklosko’s heroics in goal for us at home to Manchester United.  Pearce went on to play 142 times for us and scored 9 goals. Most of the time he was used as a centre back but had the odd game up front under Roeder. He featured in our team that finished in our highest ever Premier League finish of 5th place in the 1998-1999 season incredibly with a minus 7 goal difference.  Ian was runner up in Hammer of the Year in 1999 and scored a cracking goal at Spurs to snatch us a 1-1 draw.  Ian is a West Ham fan and will have some great stories to tell from his time at the club.

Dave, the West Ham Way radio show and I will also be around to meet everyone and we will also have free copies of the Blowing Bubbles Fanzine to give away too.  It should be a great event!

If you are still unsure on what a bargain this is then watch here:

The event will take place on the 18th August at the East Ham working man’s club from 11:00am-2:00 pm. We are offering this event at a bargain £25 and this event is guaranteed to be a top do and be a sell out like the previous five events (as I write this article we have already sold 120 tickets).   We have unlimited beer, cider, wine and soft drinks where you are certain to be served much quicker than any bar in Stratford.  You will not get this anywhere else!!

We have received nothing but positive feedback from all of our events. Here is another promotion video from our Danny Gabbidon, so you can see what a great event it is.

We have secured a number of top prizes for the raffle too and these are worth coming for in themselves.  There will also be a brilliant memorabilia stand.

Coaches to the London Stadium are also included and drop you much closer to the ground than you can get when travelling by train and by the Carpenters pub.  As usual former “Boys of 86” player Mark Ward will host the event with his usual Scouse wit and passion.

Make sure you don’t miss out and get your tickets here today: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/thewesthamwayevents/183286

We also have an exciting opportunity if you wish to sponsor the event. PitchDMM are the first company to take up this brilliant advertising package and it has massively boost their business.  These deals can be discussed by contacting ExWHUEmloyee through twitter, or Dave Walker too.  We also have an email thewesthamway@gmail.com where you can register your interest.
