Deportivo Hammer

The result last weekend was disappointing but I don’t think we should be too discouraged with the way that we played.  We did manage to create some chances but were not composed enough in front of goal.  Plus some great saves from their keeper managed to keep us from maybe getting the point that we deserved.

We travel up the country to the 2015-16 Champions Leicester City, where things might not be going as well as they were a couple of years ago but not as bad as it was before then.  Now very much a mid-table team they seem to win a couple then lose a couple doing just enough to keep away from any relegation trouble.  Their form of late is very similar to ours, winning just 2 of their last 6 games and losing their last 2.

West Ham should not be too worried about going into this game, we have managed to play well recently without, getting the points that we maybe deserved.  But I’m confident we can put our last 2 games behind us and come away with the 3 points.

Leicester have a major injury doubt to top scorer Jamie Vardy who seems to have a problem with the Stomach, (Lasagne maybe) Gray and James are both out injured while Wes Morgan serves a suspension.

Things have got back to normal at West Ham regarding injuries as Pedro Obiang continues to miss time, along with Carroll, Reid, Wilshire and Lanzini all being joined by Yarmolenko at the weekend.  It looks like it will be a long time before we see him in Claret and Blue again.  I am also led to believe that Arnie will miss the game due to a stomach bug.  I hope that he is just resting up and will be back for the Cup game.

Predicted Line Ups :

Leicester City : Schmeichel, Amartey, Maguire, Evans, Chilwell, Mendy, Ndidi, Pereira, Maddison, Diabate, Iheanacho.

West Ham United : Fabianski, Zabaleta, Diop, Balbuena, Masuaku, Rice, Noble, Snodgrass, Anderson, Diangana, Hernandez.

The obvious replacement for Arnie is to bring in Hernandez who can hopefully give the manager a selection headache for when Arnie returns and the other big news is the young academy player Diangana getting the nod over more experienced players. Good luck to him I say and I have no problems with him getting a chance at the highest level.  I think a reverse of our recent results and we get the 1-0 win with our goal coming from Captain Noble who scored such a fine goal in this fixture last year.
