Now that the International games are over we can return to more important matters the Premier League. We travel to the Midlands where we take on Aston Villa on a Monday night with a great chance to move up the league and have bragging rights over the other London teams which doesn’t happen very often.

Villa have had a tough start to life back in the Premiership and are currently in the Relegation zone. They might have a point regarding decisions going against them. But most teams could also argue that things go against them when they are near the bottom. They have managed just the 1 win this year in the league beating Everton 2-0 back in August.

West Ham on the other hand are on a bit of a roll since our opening defeat at the hands of Manchester City. Back to back wins against Watford and Norwich have us on 7 points and 9th place in the league. We have been in this kind of position before where we just needed a win to really push on. We have not managed it in the past and while I know it’s still early doors in the league campaign it’s important we let the others do the catching rather than be the one trying to catch.

Injury updates for tonight are Kodjia misses out due to a fractured cheekbone and winger Trezeguet will serve a suspension due to a Red card in his last game. Chester and Targett are back in training and in contention.

Antonio unfortunately is still out with his Hamstring injury and Winston Reid still continues on his road to recovery.

Predicted Teams:

Aston Villa : Heaton, Guilbert, Engels, Mings, Taylor, Luiz, McGinn, Grealish, Jota, El Ghazi and Wesley

West Ham United : Fabianski, Fredericks, Masuaku, Diop, Ogbonna, Noble, Rice, Lanzini, Anderson, Yarmolenko, and Haller

3 times in a row we will name the same team and hopefully we will have the same result. The return of Noble to the side seems to have worked and we are playing more controlled football. If we manage to play as we can and did against Norwich then I can only see us winning this game. But as we all know any West Ham team could turn up. I still expect us to way too strong for them and win comfortably 0-3 with Haller helping himself to another 2 goals and Lanzini getting the other.
