Scores

Fabianski 6 – once again not overworked, a good tip over first half but no chance again with goals

Fredericks 5 – looked shaky all game, sits way too deep behind other defenders at times

Diop 6 – generally good although got away with a dreadful clearance that led to the VAR overturn against Son

Balbuena 6.5 – the better of the centre halves, a solid display but distribution poor

Cresswell 6 – better display than Saturday and got forward well in first 15 mins, stuck to task forcing Spurs to then concentrate their attacks down our right wing

Soucek 5.5 – decent effort in rearguard action first half but head dropped after unfortunate OG and impact disappeared

Noble 5 – almost got in on goal first five mins but poor thereafter, regularly giving away possession, two games in four days was too much of an ask

Fornals 5 – early yellow card and missed a glorious chance early in second half, had little influence on the game

Rice 8 – another good performance, non-stop effort, he deserves better players around him

Bowen 8 – lively from the first minute and unlucky with shot against the post, it would be a real tragedy to lose him if we went down as he looks quality

Antonio 6 – constantly fouled, ploughed gamely up front alone but fatigue saw him lose possession for the second goal

Subs:

Lanzini 5 (71 mins) – never really got into the pace of the game, offered little

Anderson 5.5 (71 mins) – marginally better than against Wolves, set up Bowen’s chance, odd nice touches but also some lightweight challenges that gave away possession
