Jonathan Lee > Always nice to beat that lot ‘up north’ but how hard was that last half hour to watch! Ultimately, the result means everything and a wonderful and hard earned three points. COYI!

Fabianski – 8 another decent performance including an outstanding diving save to keep Kane out and one important collection on the edge of his six yard box from a fizzing cross;

Coufal – 8 becoming so dependable at right back, looked after Son ever so well to the extent Spurs switched most of their attacks down the right wing second half, a nasty clash with Fab saw him dazed but he brushed himself off and went again just as hard, vital part in build up to opening goal by slipping ball in for Soucek;

Diop – 9 the kind of performance we know he has in his locker, simply outstanding at the heart of our defence today;

Dawson – 8 another solid outing for the man from Rochdale, nothing fancy just good defending and unlucky with first half header tipped over by Lloris;

Cresswell – 7 caught flat footed for the goal but otherwise another decent showing, struggled to contain Bale towards the end;

Rice – 9 another colossal shift in midfield, one lovely lofted ball through to Bowen and a truly outstanding clearance from the six yard box following a dangerous Kane cross;

Soucek – 8 no recent goal attempts of late but a whole hearted performance exemplified by the horrific cut he suffered twenty minutes in, but from which he returned to produce a solid midfield display, important tackle won in build up to opening goal;

 Fornals – 7.5 as ever covered acres and played an important part in both goals, driving into the box for the first to cause confusion and linking well with Antonio and Lingard to create the chance for the second;

 Bowen – 6 did well to send a teasing cross in for our first but wasted a couple of decent opportunities and again looked a bit off the levels we saw him set earlier in the season;

 Lingard – 7 took his goal ever so well, but that – and a spirited opening ten minutes-  apart he tended to flirt in and out of the game, has a nice habit of getting the ball and first thought is to drive forward;

 Antonio – 6.5 an early poacher’s goal and ran round a lot but never really got sight of goal again, played off an important ball in build up to the second goal, looked a lot fitter than of late;

Subs:

 Benrahma (65 mins for Bowen) – 6 a couple of times threatened down the left with quick feet but never really imposed himself;

 Johnson (81 mins for Fornals) – 6 played his part in a rearguard action, experience of marking Bale will do him good;

 Noble (94 mins for Lingard) – no mark, not too sure he actually touched the ball.
