David Moyes has spoken to the media ahead of our top 4 showdown with Liverpool on Sunday.
Providing a team update following our Europa League draw with Genk in midweek the Irons boss said “At the moment we seem ok. Yarmolenko had a bit of an injury before we left, Vlasic as well. We’ll see how they are.
“It’s a quick turnaround between the games but hopefully we’ll be ok.”
On our opponents this Sunday the boss stated “We go into the game believing in how we’re playing. We want to give them a better game than last year and show them we’ve progressed.
“We know they’ll rise to the challenge too and it’ll be a tough game.
“Liverpool have always had a great side over many years. I was fortunate to finish above them a couple of times when I was at Everton, but since then they have improved many things, their stadium, their team and they are certainly challenging for all the competitions they enter.
“Liverpool played very well here last year at London Stadium and we’ll have to do much better. We’ve stepped up again and will have to do everything right. We’ll try to give them a difficult day.”
And finally on the clubs current busy schedule Moyes said “We are getting tested at the moment because we are having the games so regularly. We lost a couple of players midweek to small niggles, which can easily happen, but what I can say is that whoever we’re bringing in at the moment is doing a good job and playing well.”
