Michail Antonio has sent out a clear message that the 1-0 loss at the weekend to Wolves will not knock our Irons off course in our pursuit for a top 4 finish.

In what was a disappointing afternoon, where West Ham produced an out-of-character abject display, the Hammers number 9 wanted to make a emphatic statement that this was simply a bad day at the office, and one the boys will look to correct going into the busy winter period.

Taking to Twitter following the loss, Antonio said ‘We’re better than we showed. The loss will not derail us, a big few weeks ahead’.

Indeed he is correct, with Manchester City away next weekend following a trip to Austria on Thursday night where our Hammers can secure top spot of our Europa League group.

David Moyes will no doubt want to see an comprehensive response from his troops this Thursday, as a lift will certainly be needed before we face the Premier League champions next Sunday.

The Hammers boss expressed his disappointment at Saturdays showing at Molineux, however was also quick to state that this was down to recent International and also illness.

“There are a few things, but these though are not excuses” said Moyes. “We were just quite at it today”.
