Our Irons are in Austria tonight to face Rapid Vienna, with a win securing top spot of Group H and automatic entry into the last 16 stage of the Europa League.

Manager David Moyes has already confirmed that the squad have travelled without front man Michail Antonio and also Lukasz Fabianski. Moyes has stressed that Antonio is needed for the busy winter period and a rest for this game will do him good.

Aside from the two left behind, the only other absentee is Angelo Ogbonna, who is likely to miss the rest of the season with a cruciate ligament injury.

Tonight presents a prime opportunity for some current fringe players to stake their claim for a starting role when we head to Manchester City on Sunday.

One who will be eagerly watched is Nikola Vlasic, who as yet has failed to live up to the expectation of his arrival in the summer. However, it could be considered harsh given the opportunities he’s had at present.

So tonight, if he starts as widely expected, he will need to put in a comprehensive display and show signs of a bright future ahead at West Ham.

Tonight’s game kicks off at 17:45 and is being shown live on BT Sport.
