West Ham have signed one of the brightest young players in English football in an unbelievable coup for the club.

As reported months ago by our ITK ExWHUemployee on Patreon, Daniel Rigge has signed to the Hammers U18’s to continue his development to potential stardom having deciding to leave Manchester City for East London.

Daniel is widely regarded as one of the biggest English prospects in football and the signing is huge testament to a football club very much on the up with a bright future ahead.

“West Ham United is a Club that is on the up, and last season the team did very well,” said Daniel. “It was great to see the first team in Europe too.

“The West Ham Academy is renowned for bringing young players through. The Academy has an incredible history and I’m looking forward to being a part of it.

“I’ve been really impressed with what I’ve seen in terms of the set-up. The Academy house looks really good and it felt like a family when I first visited, which was a great feeling.”

Rigge, who’s style of play and ability has been likened to our Jewel, Manuel Lanzini, was met at the club by Academy Manager Ricky Martin and former club captain Mark Noble.

“Ricky was really good with me and welcomed me into West Ham,” added the young midfielder. “With what he was telling me about the Club, I immediately felt comfortable here.

“I had the chance to meet Mark Noble as well, who was also very welcoming. He made clear to me the standards expected at West Ham United. It was such a big moment and I felt very proud to speak to him about joining this Club.”

All of us at The West Ham Way welcome Daniel and wish him all the luck and success as a future star at our club.
