Declan Rice has learned his fate following an altercation with the referee in our Europa League semi final loss to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Rice was seen raising his voice and putting accusations towards referee Jesus Gil Manzano, accusing the official of corruption.

Subsequent to the this, UEFA has issued Rice with a 2 match ban, meaning our Irons talisman will be absent for the play off round matches facing West Ham in the Europa Conference League in August.

Manager David Moyes was also issued a ban, with a one match suspension following a clash with the opposition bench and officials during the match.

It will be a blow to the club who will be looking to advance to the group stage of the European tournament this season without disruption, wanting to go further on the European stage following an epic run last season.
