West Ham have qualified for the Europa Conference Group Stages with an emphatic 3-0 (6-1) win over Viborg FF in Denmark.

Having taken a 3-1 lead from the first leg in East London, our Hammers produced a professional and ruthless performance in the second leg to gain West Ham European Group stage football for the second consecutive season.

After a bright start with some silky football and movement on show, new signing Gianluca Scamacca weaved well in the boss to fire a superb strike into the roof of the net to all but secure the overall victory.

West Ham continued to play well though and this carried on into the second half of the match when Said Benrahma was sent through from a wonderful ball from Max Cornet to fire home to the delight of the travelling fans.

Tomas Soucek then added a 3rd after peaking up the rebound following a bullet header from Thilo Kehrer.

A very well needed and solid performance not only gifts our club with more European nights again, but it will be hoped this is a catalyst to propel our Hammers up the table domestically following a tough start to the season.

David Moyes’ Irons travel to the midlands to face Aston Villa on Sunday in what is seen as a must win, with our new signing impressing many will be hoping to see them on the team sheet this weekend.
