West Ham have given an update on the position of David Moyes following a poor showing to date this season in the Premier League.

The Hammers boss has found himself under scrutiny following another lacklustre performance for which West Ham were second best throughout in the loss against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Many were hoping our club were going to kick on further following back to back positive campaigns under Moyes, with the club backing the manager with a hefty spend of circa £180m on new players.

However, results and performances have lacked, with little cutting edge or clear gameplay evident in many occasions so far this season.

It has to be said that in the Europa Conference League the situation couldn’t be more different, with our Hammers winning all 6 matches in the group stages. But it’s domestically it’s where things are worrying.

The most recent loss at home to Palace in a crucial London derby has thrusted the spotlight on Moyes again, with many questioning if a change is in order to prevent this season becoming a disaster.

Our man-in-the-know ExWHUEmployee, speaking on The West Ham Way Podcast, has spoken to various people at very high levels within the club to provide an update in what the owners current position is on the situation.

Ex stated that the message from the very top is clear and emphatic: “We are solidly behind the manager.”

There is no doubt that this is a crucial week for David Moyes, with the visit of Leicester City on Saturday a must-win for all concerned.
