Declan Rice has issued a war cry to his fellow England teammates following another epic performance from the Hammers captain in the last-16 round win over Senegal.

Rice was once again instrumental in the heart of a new-look England midfield, with the West Ham captain sitting behind the duo of Jordan Henderson and Jude Bellingham who all compliment eachother excellently.

The Three Lions ran out 3-0 winners in a game which never really looked in doubt, with another accomplished performance which has earned Gareth Southgates side with a showdown with France in the World Cup Quarter-Finals this Saturday in Qatar.

Rice knows the challenge that awaits England, however he is of the firm belief that it is the French who should be worried as he looks to again play a key role in helping the Three Lions make it to the final 4 of the competition.

“There’s no point buzzing about tonight if we can’t push on and beat France,” stated the Hammers talisman to the press after the game.. Against the big teams, there has always been a lot of talk about us using the ball.

“I think in this tournament we’ve pretty much controlled every game. We’ve had a fair share of possession, we’ve moved it really well.

“The opening stages have been really shaky because teams are really trying to stop us playing. But once we get that goal, they have to change. It opens up and then you really start to see us play.

“Against France, we’ve seen some weaknesses in them that we can try to exploit. It’s set up for a great game.”
