Morocco produced a famous victory to knock out Spain but the victory was marred following an injury to Nayef Aguerd.
The African side reached the Quarter Finals in the World Cup for the first time after beating the Spaniards in a penalty shootout, which the won 3-0 following a 0-0 draw.
It was another outstanding night of football fans have witnessed in Qatar, however the sight of seeing Aguerd leave the field was a huge concern to all connected with West Ham.
The Hammers defender, who has been absent for much of the season due to an ankle injury sustained in pre-season, left the match on 86 minutes having signalling he was injured after a challenge.
There is hope the injury may be a dead leg, with it looking possibly an impact knock. This however is yet to be determined.
ExWHUEmployee will be keeping fans up to date on the situation on Patreon as soon as there is clarity on the extent of the injury.
West Ham meanwhile are playing a friendly tonight with Cambridge United, which fans can watch live on YouTube.
