West Ham have been dealt a blow this January with target Youssef En-Nesyri snubbing a move to East London in favour of remaining at Sevilla.

As reported by ExWHUEmployee on Patreon, the Moroccan international was not keen on the loan move to West Ham, despite an agreement being reached between both clubs, with the player opting to stay and help his current club avoid relegation this season.

David Moyes is known to be huge admirer of the striker and was hoping a loan with an obligation to buy would see the player head to the London Stadium and help spearhead a recovery this campaign following a difficult time for Moyes’ side.

However, as reported by Ex, the player has decided the move was not what he wanted at this time with Sevilla themselves fighting for survival in La Liga.

En-Nesyri has now spoken publicly, as reported by the Evening Standard, echoing exactly as reported by our man-in-the-know and therefore firmly putting to bed any chance of Nayef Aguerds international teammate joining the Hammers in any time soon.

“I want to focus only on Sevilla,” En-Nesyri said. “It’s not a matter of money. I want to help the team in the worst moments.”

West Ham are now set to move onto other targets, with Terem Moffi of Lorient reported by Ex as another player the club are interested in.
