West Ham boss David Moyes has received positive news surrounding the fitness of Lucas Paqueta, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The Brazilian midfielder has been absent of late due to a shoulder injury he sustained in the draw to Chelsea at London Stadium almost two weeks ago.

There was much speculation at the time that the injury mirrored his previous collarbone injury which sidelined the clubs most expensive signing for a few weeks earlier in the season, however Ex stated on Patreon that scans showed it was minor and that the player would be targeting a return sooner than first feared.

Our man-in-the-know has now since confirmed that the player is now hopeful that he could be available for our must-win match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

“Lucas Paqueta is hopeful of making this weekends encounter,” stated Ex. “As we said last week he was targeting this game and there is still a chance that he could make it.”

The news will come as a huge boost for David Moyes with the manager desperate to climb away from a relegation scrap this season, with our Hammers current position looking precarious.

The positive update surrounding Paqueta follows similar news of Kurt Zouma, who as reported earlier, could also feature this weekend if deemed fit enough to do so.
