There has been widespread speculation surrounding the long term future of Gianluca Scamacca at West Ham, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.

West Ham signed the Italian international in the summer from Sassuolo for a fee of around £30m, with the striker seen as a key player in David Moyes’ plans this season.

Scamacca, although impressing on occasions to date, has unfortunately seen his playing time hindered of late following a knee injury he sustained against Leeds in January.

Today it was announced by Alessandro Lucci’s World Soccer Agency, who represented Scamacca, that they were ending their working relationship with the Hammers forward, stating ‘personal and professional conditions that had led to welcoming Scamacca with enthusiasm, commitment and affection into the WSA family have been lacking.’

This news has prompted speculation online and in the media that the future of the Italian in East London was in significant doubt, with reports stating the player could be seeking a move in the summer.

Our famed ITK ExWHUEmployee has discussed the situation with sources within the club and has now revealed that the player is in fact happy at West Ham and that the news of him wanting out is paper talk.

“There’s a surprise – these people are always looking for a story. The player has not indicated that he wishes to leave,” a source is reported to have told our man-in-the-know.

Ex has also stated that the news of his change of agency is commonplace within the game, and shouldn’t be taken as an indication the player is unhappy at the club.

“We have had it confirmed to us that Scamacca is happy at the club,” stated Ex.

“The change of agency has nothing to do with his future he just wanted to be represented by someone else and players change agents all the time without publicity.”
