West Ham fell to a shockingly poor 4-0 defeat away at Brighton to once again cast serious doubts over David Moyes, with many calling the performance one of the worst in recent memory.

Moyes’ side went into the fixture on the back of a positive performance and win over Nottingham Forest, albeit with a loss since in the FA Cup to Manchester United, but this showing was the polar opposite of what was expected and needed in a terrible season in East London.

West Ham fans have witnessed a campaign that has shocked many, with such high hopes with European football again on offer and a summer outlay on players of around £180m.

Yet despite this, West Ham have failed to deliver in every department and fully deserve to be in the mess it finds itself in, with a relegation battle firmly on.

The defeat at Brighton has, quite rightly, raised the big question again over whether the manager Moyes should remain, with the teams lack of plan and effort a serious concern for all connected with the club.

The West Ham Way Podcast hosts Dave Walker and famed ITK ExWHUEmployee could not hide their frustrations at the situation, with Walker calling for a change at the club.

“That was one of the worse performances I have ever seen from a West Ham side,” fumed Walker. “Absolutely disgraceful.

“The manager is clueless and the players are gutless. Something has to change and change quickly because if it doesn’t, we will be in massive trouble.”

A deflated Ex feels that the fans were let down badly by the club and called the performance one of the worst he has seen.

“One of the worst performances I’ve seen from a West Ham team in as long as I can remember,” said our man-in-the-know. “I can’t really offer anything constructive to say other than that. The club have let down the fans today and that sort of performance is not acceptable.”
