West Ham midfielder Manuel Lanzini has stated that he and his teammates can see victories on the horizon as our Hammers look to battle it out to remain in the Premier League this season.

The plan this campaign was to never be in the situation the club finds itself, especially after much excitement after heavy investment last summer, however the circumstances are something the players are desperate to resolve and achieve desperately needed survival in the top flight.

A shining light this season though has been the clubs form on the European continent, with West Ham holding a 100% record in the Europa Conference League, whilst also achieving a place in the quarter finals so far with silverware looking a real possibility for David Moyes’ side.

It is this form that Lanzini feels can add much needed confidence to our Hammers domestic league form, with the Argentinian admitting that the players can see wins in the coming games to ease the nerves in East London as we look to end this testing campaign on a high.

“When you win, you get more confidence,” Lanzini told the clubs Official Website. “It is good for us, for the group, we hope we can see a few wins in the Premier League now too – because it is important for us.”

Lanzini also paid special mention to Gianluca Scamacca, who he believes will hit form at just the right time, with the Italian striker admitting recently that he is happy at West Ham and wants to get firing as we enter the business end of the season.

“When Gianluca started he did very well,” added Lanzini. “He scored a lot of goals in the Premier League and Conference League. Then, he had an injury, but every player is different. I hope he continues to keep working hard and to score goals for his confidence.”
