West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta was absent from the recent victory over Fulham in the Premier League, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update on his injury.

The Brazilian international was reported to have picked up a knock in the loss to Newcastle a week ago, with question marks raised over the seriousness of the injury as our Hammers look to end a difficult campaign on a high, with league survival and European glory in the Europa Conference League now the firm targets.

Reporting exclusively on The West Ham Way Patreon, our man-in-the-know Ex has revealed that the clubs record signing has in fact returned to training and is set for a return to action very soon.

“Paqueta has been back in training all week and should be available for selection for tomorrow’s European tie against Gent,” stated our famed ITK.

“Whether he will be selected or not risked hasn’t been decided yet but it is great that the injury, as we exclusively revealed, was only a minor one and that he would be available to train after the Fulham game.”

The news will be a huge boost for David Moyes with the manager desperate for his side to build on the vital victory over the Cottagers at the weekend, with our first leg quarter final in Belgium tomorrow night a huge game and one our Hammers can build on some much-needed momentum.

Ex will be keeping fans fully up to date on the progress of Paqueta and all other club matters exclusively to The West Ham Way Patreon.
