In a game that saw ever-dependable Angelo Ogbonna have a great performance, he has since received praise from Harry Redknapp on his talented display.

The 34-year-old made a comeback in the Premier League since over a month a go, and was a solid player against Fulham on Saturday night. So much so, Harry Redknapp included the Italian into his Premier League Team of the Week.

Former West Ham player & manager, Harry Redknapp discussed Ogbonna’s performance, experience and the trust Moyes had in him, in his Column for BetVictor.

The centre back managed to make 12 clearances for his team in last weeks game and kept a clean sheet alongside, Kurt Zouma, Aaron Cresswell, and Vladimir Coufal. Moyes brought out a side in which seemed to bring success in previous seasons, in the hopes of changing things up in West Ham’s relegation battle.

“David Moyes needs players he can rely on and Ogbonna is definitely that.” he told BetVictor.

Redknapp also spoke on Ogbonna’s love for the club, after a huge 7 seasons with the Hammers, it was no doubt that he was ready to step up in an all important game

“He’s got bags of experience and a real love for the club, the sort of player you need in a relegation fight.” said Redknapp.
