West Ham midfielder Nikola Vlasic is currently facing an uncertain future, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The Croatian attacking midfielder, who has spent this season on loan at Torino, had initially been expected to remain at the Italian club after a positive start to life with the Serie A side.

However, it has been reported by our man-in-the-know Ex that there is a doubt over whether Torino will look to make the move permanent, which leaves Vlasic’s future very much up in the air.

To further complicate matters, West Ham still owe £3.5m for the player to Russian club CSKA Moscow, however current global sanctions due to the war in Ukraine is preventing West Ham from paying what is due.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Podcast, Ex explained how West Ham were hoping that the sale of Vlasic to Torino would fund the remaining purchase fee to CSKA Moscow to enable all parties to then part ways.

Torino though have doubts over Vlasic which would leave a big question mark over the players future, with West Ham looking to offload the former Everton midfielder after he again struggled to adjust to playing in the Premier League.

“It’s not an ideal situation at all,” Ex stated on Patreon. “Torino are not convinced at this stage with Vlasic and West Ham want to cash in.

“If Torino decide against signing the player then it leaves West Ham hoping others will come in for him.”
