West Ham United U18’s tonight face Arsenal in the FA Youth Cup Final, with ExWHUEmployee stating that this is a moment the players should savour.

It has been an incredible season for our Academy of Football, with the U18’s side already clinching the league title after demonstrating dominance from the off to give real hope that a special set of players could be set for stardom in East London.

Not since the crop of 1999 when the likes of Joe Cole helped our club last lift the Youth Cup have West Ham ever been so exciting by a group of talented youngsters. The West Ham Way previously hosted a Pre-Match Event with manager Kevin Keen and the former player admitted there are a number the club believe can make it to the very top.

Tonight our young Hammers face London rivals Arsenal in the final at the Emirates Stadium which, if successful, will repeat the feats of 1999 which would certainly set an exciting tone for things to come.

Speaking ahead of the final, our man-in-the-know and Podcast co-host ExWHUEmployee has shared his thoughts on what could be a historic moment for our club once again.

“This is a massive game in the careers of these young players,” stated Ex. “Not many youngsters get the experience of playing in this final and they should savour every moment!

“The last time we had the likes of Carrick and Cole plus a number of others who went on to have good professional careers. I believe there are even more stars in the making in this current batch and this will be a great occasion for them to showcase this.”

The young Hammers will have the backing of the fans tonight with the 7,000 allocation sold out. The match kicks of at 7:00pm and can be watched live on FA YouTube Channel.
