West Ham defender Kurt Zouma could be set for an early return from an ankle injury, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The Frenchman, who picked up the injury in our loss to Crystal Palace on 29th April, had been feared to be out for the remainder of the season.

However our man-in-the-know initially reported that the outlook was looking brighter and that he may still play a small part this season, now Ex has reported on Patreon that the situation could have improved further.

“The latest official word is that he is way ahead of schedule and that the injury only appears to be a 14 day injury,” stated Ex. “Which given he sustained the injury a week ago on Sunday could mean there is a chance of featuring soon.”

In a further boost to confirm that Zouma is ahead of schedule, Ex also stated that the Irons centre back resumed training work today.

“I have also been told that he resumed training today meaning that there is a good chance he could even target the Brentford game or certainly the second leg of the Europa Conference League if all goes to plan.”

Ex will be keeping fans fully up to date on the situation surrounding Zouma and all other club matters on Patreon.
