Former West Ham manager Harry Redknapp has given his praise to Thilo Kehrer ahead of our Europa Conference League Semi-Final tonight.
Our Hammers face AZ Alkmaar in the 1st leg of the tie at London Stadium in good form, following what was one of the performances of the season on Sunday in the victory over Manchester United in the Premier League.
The win over the Red Devils saw many players produced outstanding showings and one of those was Kehrer, who played exceptionally well at right-back with England international Marcus Rashford to handle.
The Germans performance did not go unnoticed with former boss and player Harry Redknapp highlighting how impressed he was with the former PSG’s display on Sunday and believes he can play a key role again tonight.
“I loved that West Ham performance against United,” said Redknapp as reported by Football London.
“Thilo Kehrer was right at the heart of it. I like this lad; he impressed me a lot. He had to keep Rashford quiet and did a great job all game. He’s a great athlete, and I like his versatility, he can play anywhere across the defence.”
Kehrer is widely expected to return in at right-back later tonight with Vladimir Coufal unlikely to feature as he recovers from a hamstring injury.
