West Ham have identified an Arsenal winger as a potential target this summer however the Gunners are set to table a long-term offer to fend off interest.

Reiss Nelson, who joined Arsenals academy back when he was just 9 years old, is out of contract this summer and there are plenty of clubs including West Ham who are monitoring the situation closely.

As reported exclusively by ExWHUEmployee this week, our Hammers are keeping tabs on the London-born winger and could potentially make a move this summer for his services, should he opt to leave the North London club.

However, it has been reportedon TeamTalk that Arsenal have tabled a lucrative long-term contract for Nelson, in the firm belief he has a bright future ahead of him for the Gunners.

According to reports, the Gunners feel that it is now ‘up to the player’ if he wants to extend his stay or decide to move and find a more likely route to first team football elsehwhere.

It is understood that should Nelson reject the offer from Arsenal, then West Ham will face stiff competition from Aston Villa, Fulham and Brighton in this summers transfer window.

West Ham are set for another bust summer ahead, with a new Director of Football set to be appointed ahead of another likely high spend should Declan Rice leave the club for pastures new, as is widely expected.
