David Moyes has outlined West Ham’s intentions this summer with a big transfer window once again expected in East London.

Over the last year the club has spent circa £200m on new recruits to push the club onwards following back-to-back top 7 finishes with European competition achieved in both.

It is fair to say however that domestically things haven’t gone to plan this season, with the club spending the entire Premier League campaign battling to remain in the top flight – which thankfully was achieved with a couple of games to spare.

European football can again be achieved should our Hammers be successful in our Europa Conference League Final in Prague, however the club are aware that this summer things have to go much better to ensure we hit the ground running when the new season commences in August.

West Ham are fully expected to be active in the transfer market, with certain players expected to leave as David Moyes again oversees a re-build to get our Hammers back on track and challenge the elite at the top end of the table.

Speaking to the media, as reported by Football London, the Scot has admitted that the club will be leaning towards more homegrown players, as reported exclusively by our insider ExWHUEmployee on Patreon a few weeks ago.

“I would say yes,” stated Moyes. “I think I would like to a little bit more of British players or homegrown players if we possibly could.”

One player who is heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium this summer is Harvey Barnes, with the winger seen as a key target for Moyes as he looks to bolster his attacking options next season.

West Ham face Barnes’ current club Leicester City this afternoon in the final Premier League game of the season, with the hosts needing a victory to stand a chance of survival in the Premier League.
