West Ham have triggered contract extensions to key players following the conclusion of the 2022/23 Premier League season.

As reported previously and exclusively on The West Ham Way by our insider ExWHUEmployee back in November, the club activated a 1-year extension to Aaron Cresswells contract which will see his time in East London reach a decade.

Speaking following the final league game against Leicester City yesterday, Ex was full of praise for Cresswell and is delighted to see him stay on longer at West Ham.

“Cresswell has been a great servant and I’m delighted he has another year,” stated Ex “It seems such a shame he probably won’t get a testimonial despite 10 years.”

The West Ham Ways ITK Ex also reported back in March that the club were to trigger a 2-year extension to Vladimír Coufals contract, and that has subsequently been reported this morning in The Athletic.

“Both deals make sense,” added Ex. “Cresswell has been a big part in our better form recently and can still offer us a lot.

“Coufal has been a great signing and a very dependable right back! I think both deals are the right decision from the club.”

Ex will be keeping fans fully up to date on the progress of all transfer dealings and club matters this summer on The West Ham Way Patreon.
