West Ham captain Declan Rice has had much speculation surrounding his future of late, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.

The Hammers and England midfielder has much interest from various clubs, and at this stage it is likely the club will sanction a sale to maximise the return on our Academy graduate with a year left on his current contract with an option of an additional.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, club insider Ex has provided a detailed update of where things stand should Rice depart for pastures new this summer.

“We believe that no official bid has been made for the captain although Arsenal and Bayern Munich have made their intentions to launch a bid clear,” stated our man-in-the-know.

“The two Manchester clubs expected to follow, however it is thought that Rice prefers to remain in England and therefore means Munich is a less likely option at the moment.

“An interesting development with Manchester United is that Declan’s best friend Mason Mount looks set to complete a move there and we also have a number of players that could be offered to us as part of the deal that we could be interested in including: Maguire, Wan-Bissaka, McTominay and Martial. “

”If Manchester United sign Mount and Harry Kane as rumoured that could be a massive lure for Declan.”

Despite the ongoing saga surrounding Rice’s future, Ex has advised that our captain is fully committed to West Ham and is 100% focused on lifting the Europa Conference League trophy in just 5 days time in Prague.

“The player is fully focused on lifting the European trophy next Wednesday, and becoming only the second West Ham captain after Bobby Moore.”
