West Ham are keeping tabs on the situation surrounding the futures of several Chelsea players, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The West London club, who suffered a poor campaign following significant change with ownership, managers and players over the last year, have appointed Mauricio Pochettino as their new boss ahead of the new 2023/24 season.

It is widely expected that the former Spurs manager will oversee wholsesale changes once again to the squad, which has put other clubs including West Ham on high alert as we also look to manage a busy summer in East London.

Our Podcast co-host and club insider Ex has reported that the club are monitoring a number of Chelsea stars with the understanding they are likely to be made available for transfer.

“With the arrival of Pochettino this summer there are players that are being made available by them as they undertake a clear-out,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“Players to keep an eye on are Conor Gallagher and Callum Hudson-Odoi as we are known to be big admirers. The fact they are set to be moved on is a big appeal to West Ham.

“However I must stress that with a lot of uncertainty at present with our managers future, a possible new Director of Football appointment, European football next season and our captains future currently unknown – any target list will not be confirmed once things settle down.”

Our Hammers are looking ahead to a significant transfer window following the Europa Conference League final next week, as we look to lift our first major trophy in 43 years.

There is significant interest in our club captain Declan Rice, with it expected that a record-breaking transfer is on the cards with Arsenal, Bayern Munich and both Manchester clubs expected to launch bids.

Players sales will play a major part in our summer activity with funds raised expected to be utilised to strengthening the squad, and the fact highly talented players at Chelsea are in line to be transfer listed, creates an interesting opportunity for West Ham.
