West Ham manager David Moyes has stated that our Hammers will play a fair game in the final against Fiorentina next week.

The Scot will be looking to make history in East London by lifting our first major trophy in 43 years when we take on the Italian side in the final of the Europa Conference League in Prague.

In the buildup to the game on Wednesday night, the manager of Fiorentina Vincenzo Italiano has stated that his side are prepared to resort to tactical fouling to help gain advantage against our cockney boys.

However when quizzed on this, Hammers boss Moyes stated that West Ham will not stoop to that level and will instead play the match fairly as would be expected.

“It will be down to the referees to sort that out and not for us to have a huge opinion on it,” said Moyes, as reported by Newham Recorder.

“We’ll try to play a fair game and from my point of view that’s always the best way to try and do it.”

It’s a monumental moment in the clubs history and one where Moyes can align himself with the likes of Ron Greenwood and John Lyall to be a manager who lifted silverware in East London.

Despite Fiorentina finishing the season strongly, with victories over Roma and Sassuolo in Serie A, West Ham will feel confident that victory and glory can be realised next week.

Our Hammers will have had additional time to recuperate having finished our season a week ago and have had time to fully focus on the Final.
