Fulham have demanded a huge £90million for Portuguese midfielder Joao Palhinha, after the interest from West Ham has come in with the intention to replace Declan Rice.

West Ham’s primary target has had an incredible £90million price tag slapped on in the last few days.  The 27-year-old midfielder was seen as a potential replacement for West Ham’s Declan Rice, but rival London team Fulham are hoping this may dissuade the club from making the move this summer.

It is believed that Fulham will be using the potential £100million price tag for Rice, as a guide of what they will be offering for Palhinha.  Despite the differences in age and quality, West Ham have been impressed with the Portuguese player this season.  Although, Fulham seem adamant they are in a strong position to keep him with his contract ending in 2027.

Other competition are expected to with draw their interest after the news of the huge figure was announced. Despite Fulham being within their rights to put out this price tag, most clubs will agree that it is just too high, and a figure of around £50 million would be more suitable.

As reported yesterday by ExWHUEmployee, Arsenal came in with their second bid for Declan Rice, believed to be worth £75million with £15million in add ons.  This has since been turned down with the hammers strongly holding out for that £100million.

It has also been reported that West Ham are looking to sign Edson Alvarez, should the Palhinha transfer seem too expensive.
