West Ham have very exciting future ahead according to the clubs official presenter Chris Scull, which he stated on The West Ham Way Patreon.

Our Hammers are still very much riding the wave of celebration following our historic victory over Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final in Prague 2 weeks ago, a moment that will be etched in the memories forever as the 43 year wait for a major trophy came to an end.

Although the joys of that victory are still very much being felt, there is no getting away from the crucial summer ahead as the club look to build on the success and return to challenge at the higher end of the table.

Scull, co-host of the popular 90’s football podcast ‘Quickly Kevin’ with comedian Josh Widdicombe, believes the future is bright in East London and that the recent showing in Europe is an indication of where this club can go.

“West Ham are a sleeping giant,” exclaimed Scull on the Extra Time Podcast with Dave Walker and ExWHUEmployee. “Look at the numbers in Prague, the victory parade and the stadium every week. Its so well supported.

“I genuinely believe we can continue to keep winning things and the sky is the limit!”

The former KUMB Podcast host, who now works direct for the club he has supported all of his life, opened up on the moment West Ham won the final and how he struggled to handle his emotions, as did many fans.

“It didn’t feel real, it was like I just shut down,” admitted Scull. “I honestly struggled to take in what had happened and then came the tears! I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many grown men cry.”

Scull didn’t have too much time to celebrate as he was then on hand to host the victory parade the next day back in London, and the die-hard Hammers fan admitted the incredible turnout of fans caused havoc with plans for his presenting.

“It was so strange as so many were there, much more than I could have imagined,” added Scull. “Kids were on top of bus stops, singing and dancing in the street. It was incredible.

“It was planned that I would entertain fans while the bus made its way to Stratford, but when I was up there it as clear that it would take longer due to the amount of fans on the streets. So rather than an hour set I had to do an hour and 50 minutes!”
