West Ham are monitoring Scott McTominay and could make a move for his signature this summer.
The Manchester United midfielder, who has been at the club his entire career to date, is said to be one of a number of players Erik ten Hag could allow to depart this summer as part of his continued rebuild for the Red Devils.
It has been reported previously that David Moyes is known to be a big admirer of the Scottish international, and could be tempted to explore options in brining the 26 year old to East London.
West Ham are widely expected to be busy in the transfer market once the Declan Rice transfer to Arsenal is concluded, and a move for McTominay could well be seen as a wise move, with the player at a good age with Premier League and European experience.
The Independent have reported that West Ham are monitoring the situation with the player, although are likely to face competition for his signature with Newcastle also keen.
ExWHUEmployee did discuss McTominay on The West Ham Way Podcast, stating that he believes he’d be an ideal signing for our Hammers this summer.
“My view is that he’d be a great signing for West Ham. He plays a very similar role to Rice, which would be ideal as we look to push on.
“He’s been a Manchester United player for years and has proven he is more than capable. He’s also the star player for his nation Scotland.
“I would not at all be surprised if we went in for him this summer.”
