West Ham overcame bitter rivals Spurs in Australia with a 3-2 win to cap off our tour of Perth.

Our Hammers looked sharp and comfortable from the off, showcasing some excellent passing and movement in the early exchanges, which didn’t take long to be rewarded with a goal.

It was only 18 minutes in when Danny Ings headed in a sublime Jarrod Bowen cross, to give West Ham the advantage and Spurs needing to wake up to the pace of the game.

But David Moyes’ side took advantage and doubled the lead just 5 minutes later, when the once-again impressive Divin Mubuma, who is showing unbelievable promise, headed home to give a nice comfortable 2 goal cushion.

Spurs rang the changes for the 2nd half, and looked much fresher for doing so, which enabled them to put the pressure on West Ham and look for a way back into the game.

Goals then followed, as a Giovani Lo Celso volley on 68 minutes and then a Destiny Udogie header just a few moments later had our London rivals level and suddenly looking the most likely to win the match.

West Ham though had other ideas, when Pablo Fornals put through Gianluca Scamacca with an exquisite pass and the Italian slotted home to wrap up the win and end our trip in Australia in style.

It will be a welcome boost as we continue our preparations for the new fast-approaching season, with our Hammers set to face Dagenham & Redbridge next, this Saturday.
