West Ham target this summer Denis Zakaria is close to leaving Juventus, it has been reported.
The defensive midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Chelsea, has been the subject of significant interest from our Hammers all summer, as has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
Talks have been ongoing for some time, with West Ham eager to secure a loan arrangement following concerns of the players injury record, however according to reports a move could well be realised soon.
According to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Zakarias departure from Turin is imminent, following ‘positive’ talks over the weekend.
Although this could well elude to a move to East London this summer, the report is vague as it mentions the talks were taking place with a ‘number of clubs’, therefore whether a transfer to West Ham is closer is unknown from the Italian press.
The report states that an agreement in principle has been reached between West Ham, AS Monaco, RB Leipzig – with the player now set to decide on his next destination, with Juventus set to say farewell to Zakaria this week.
ExWHUEmployee is set to provide an update on the clubs activities later on The West Ham Way Podcast.
