West Ham target Carlos Borges has been given high praise from a Manchester City account, with the winger edging closer to signing.

As reported at the beginning of June by our club insider ExWHUEmployee, West Ham have been very keen on the Portuguese player with talks progressing well as a move to East London appearing close.

Understandably, all connected with the club have become frustrated at the somewhat lack of progress and activity during this summers transfer window to-date, with no major signing made despite selling Declan Rice to Arsenal a few weeks ago.

One transfer though that has many fans excited and that appears closer than any other pursuit, is Borges of Manchester City, who is understood set to sign a long-term permanent contract with our Hammers this summer ahead of the new season.

The West Ham Way have reached out to others to get an understanding of the player and what he may add to West Ham this season, with highly-rated and popular Manchester City social media account, Real Talk Manchester City (@RealTalkManCity), providing an existing insight into Borges.

“Quality player who’s quite dangerous in attacking positions,” it was stated.

“He’s got great technical abilities, an eye for goal and assists, and he’s quite fast. A right back’s worst nightmare on his day!”

The club will be hoping to conclude the deal ahead of the season commencement, with ExWHUEmployee set to provide an update on the situation and all other club matters on Patreon.
