West Ham have appointed a new Head of Recruitment for U16-19’s, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
It has been a difficult summer for the club this summer so far, with frustrations growing at the lack of success in the transfer market coupled with reports of disagreements behind the scenes.
However, a positive piece of news has omitted from the club in that Nicky Shorey has taken up the role of our Head of Recruitment at U16-19 level.
The former defender, who played for Reading and Aston Villa, has taken up the post this summer continue to work on the recent successes of our famed Academy.
”One signing we have been able to compete is a former left back target that we launched a bid for in 2010, however he has since retired and this is for a staff appointment to the head of recruitment for the academy at under 16-19 level,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.
”Nicky Shorey, the former Reading, Orient and Aston Villa defender has joined the backroom team.
”Throughout his career he was repeatedly linked to a move to the club having been brought up a West Ham fan from Romford. Whilst he never got here as a player he is finally here as a member of staff and we wish him all the best for his new role.”
