Former West Ham player and our very own Mad Dog Martin Allen has given his thoughts on the contract situation surrounding Pablo Fornals.

As was reported this week by ExWHUEmployee on The West Ham Way Patreon, the Spaniard has thus far failed to agree on a new contract, which could see the former Villareal player depart for free next summer.

Despite the club being keen to keep the player, Fornals has become frustrated with the lack of first team football he is now experiencing at West Ham, with Fornals now attracting interest from elsewhere, including clubs in his homeland Spain.

Allen, who is now the new host to The West Ham Way Pre-Match Events, believes the club should work hard to find a resolution keep Fornals in east London.

“Fornals is a key player for us,” stated Allen. “He scores goals, provides assists and always demonstrates a great attitude.

“For me, we must keep him. Let’s hope the club can reach an agreement with him.”

Mad Dog was this season officially announced as the new host of The West Ham Way Pre-Match Events, which will be moving to a new venue as of 30th September for the Sheffield United match – which will now be at the Colour Factory near the London Stadium.

The special guest for the prestigious event will be former Hammers midfielder Ian Bishop – with tickets already selling fast.

We will now be offering 2 packages for our events. The first package is simply £15 entrance (£10 for patreons, supporters club members and children) and you purchase your own drinks. We promise you a range of drinks all at great prices. We have sorted out a special deal on some drinks making them the cheapest you will find in the area.

If you fancy a little bit more than we have our VIP package for £40 (£35 for Supporters Club and Patreons and £10 for kids). With this deal you get all of the standard offerings plus your own VIP room from which you can watch the Q and A from, with it’s own bar and toilets.  The main perks of course is the all inclusive bar!

Understandably, Martin Allen is excited for the new venue change, and cannot wait to host his former teammate Bishop in a few weeks time.

“Ian Bishop is a great lad,” added Allen. “Happy funny kind and as a guest he will be great to chat with.

“Loads of stories and I can’t wait to meet up with him again. He’s a diamond bloke!”
