West Ham fell to another loss at Anfield despite once again putting in a decent display, with ExWHUEmployee ruing another missed opportunity.

Although being on the receiving end of a 3-1 defeat on Sunday to Liverpool, the scoreline doesn’t paint the true reflection of the game, with our Hammers very much in the contest for the vast majority, however errors lead to a defeat that West Ham must bounce back from.

Nayef Aguerd was again at fault on the day, giving away a sloppy penalty to which lead to Liverpool taking the lead – with many now questioning whether a change is required at the back, to avoid leaking more goals in the weeks to come.

Ex though, who was at the game, wants to draw a line under this defeat fast, with Sheffield United up next – who just lost 8-0 at home to Newcastle. Although the club insider bemoaned yet another loss at Anfield, something West Ham have sadly become used to over the years.

“I felt we played well especially in the first half,” stated the Podcast co-host after the loss. “Had we taken our chances ,the game could have had a much different final outcome!

“This seems to be a regular occurrence at Anfield sadly, and once more all the 50/50 decisions went in favour of the home side as they always do.

“Once in my lifetime have we got a win at there, so like the week before with Manchester City, this is a game we can write off and hopefully return to winning ways against a shell shocked Sheffield United.”
