West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen has admitted that he is becoming more of a fan these days as he sets out his targets for the season.
Our Hammers number 20 has been in tantalising form this season so far, scoring 4 and providing 1 assist in the opening 6 Premier League matches of the campaign.
As has been reported by ExWHUEmployee for some time, the club are in discussions with Bowen over a new and improved contract at the club, with the player now not holding back on his feelings for his newfound home when speaking to the Evening Standard.
“There are fans everywhere,” said the Irons winger. “Where I live everyone is a West Ham fan, no Tottenham fans – or maybe they don’t want to tell me they are a Tottenham fan!
“I didn’t realise how big the club was when I first came, but now I am starting to become one of them, I’m starting to get a feel for it and go ‘right, this is a massive club’.”
Bowen also outlined his desire to hit big figures this season, admitting he is using others as examples of the results he should be achieving with his ability.
“Confidence, as a forward player, everything you touch goes in. When those things are going for you, they are going for you so confidence is massive. I want to be the one who steps up and decides games.
“I’m always looking double figures goals and assists, 20-30 goal involvements a season. You look at Salah, Saka and Mahrez, their numbers are the benchmark for me.”
