West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek put in another positive display at the weekend, with ExWHUEmployee giving praise to the Czech international.
Our Hammers came away 2-0 winners when hosting bottom-of-the-table Sheffield United at the weekend, following what ultimately was a comfortable win which sees West Ham maintain a strong start to the season and remain in 7th spot after 7 matches played.
It was a showing that displayed an attribute David Moyes’ side appear to possess this season, with a more balanced and tougher resolve that gives belief that the side can aim to push for another European finish.
One of the key contributors to the positive feeling around east London this season is the resurgence of Tomas Soucek, who is displaying the form West Ham fans came accustomed to when he arrived at the Club back in 2020, with ExWHUEmployee highlighting his excellent display once again at the weekend.
“I thought it was a very strong first half,” said our Podcast co-host and club insider. “We created a number of chances from good attacking play. Of course, they had chances too and it was good to see Aguerd playing a crucial role in a clean sheet after a few dodgy moment recently.
“Another player who has had some stick player brilliantly in my opinion and that was Soucek. I think he has started the season really strongly and is looking back to his early days self with us.
“Second half we seemed to take our foot off the gas unfortunately when I thought we could have got a few more goals. All in all though given the nature of the randomness of other result in the league this was a good result.”
