West Ham youngster Callum Marshall has received a call-up to Northern Ireland’s first team.

The promising striker made his senior debut for his national team back in June 2023 and, after being selected only for the U21s in September, he has once again been selected by Michael O’Neill.

Undoubtedly, he has been one of, if not, the standout players in the Academy of Football so far this season. He is the top scorer in the whole of the Premier League 2 and doesn’t look like stopping anytime soon.

It’s not just this season that he has been on fire though, last season he was part of the extremely successful U18s and scored 23 goals in 24 games over the campaign.

Now that he has moved up an age group he’s impressed head coach Steve Potts particularly in the fact he “is all about his work-rate.”

Callum Marshall is certainly a name to look out for, if he can keep progressing we could have a top talent on our hands. It’s too early in his career to say what level he will reach but there’s no ceiling on what he could go on to achieve, let’s just hope he reaches new heights in claret and blue.
