West Ham have now confirmed the signing of Dan Rigge on his first professional contract with our Academy.
As had been reported by The West Ham Way’s Podcast co-host and club insider ExWHUEmployee on 28th September, ahead of any other media outlet – the player put pen to paper on a deal which is seen as a big coup for our club.
Ex, revealing the news at the time exclusively on The West Ham Way Patreon, has stated that the player was highly sought after, but West Ham have beaten off competition to sign the talented attacking midfielder.
Speaking on whufc.com following the official announcement today, Rigge admitted his pride in signing the deal, and is excited to continue his progression in east London.
“It is a huge moment for me and my family because it is every young player’s dream to sign their first professional contract, especially at a club like West Ham United,” said the player.
“It has given me a lot of confidence that the Club believes in me and hopefully I can do well at West Ham in the future.
“I have really enjoyed my time here so far. I felt really welcomed when I arrived ahead of last season and I am delighted to continue my development here.”
