West Ham defensive duo Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd are both set to receive offers this January, according to reports.

As has been reported throughout much of the summer by various media outlets, the Hammers centre back pairing were both identified as targets by clubs in the Saudi Pro League.

Despite the noise, both have remained in east London and have become the 1st choice central defenders under David Moyes – with Zouma becoming the successor to Declan Rice by being named the club captain.

Following on from this, Zouma has since declared his love and pride for being captain of West Ham, and has paid huge compliments to the manager for standing by him.

As has then been exclusively reported by The West Ham Way’s Podcast co-host and club insider ExWHUEmployee, the club are in talks to extend Zoumas current contract, which expires in 18 months.

However despite this, there are again reports linking both Zouma and Aguerd to exits from the club, with the Football Insider reporting that the club are bracing themselves for bids this January.

“It is believed both players are the subject of big-money interest from Saudi Pro League clubs as the mid-season window approaches,” its in the article by Pete O’Rourke.

“A well-placed source has told Football Insider that West Ham boss David Moyes would be “desperate” to replace either player should they quit for the Middle East.”
