West Ham played a behind-closed-doors friendly last week with a couple of players impressing greatly, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
The fixture was played last week during the international break, with our Hammers taking on Oxford United at the training ground at Rush Green.
It was seen as an opportunity for some of the younger and fringe players to impress the managerial staff, with many of our first team players away performing for their respective national sides.
The friendly against Oxford saw the visitors take the lead, however goals from Lewis Orford and Gideon Kodua saw West Ham claim a 2-1 victory.
Reporting exclusively on The West Ham Way Patreon, our Podcast co-host and club insider ExWHUEmployee advised that the friendly saw a couple of standout performances.
“There was a behind-closed-doors friendly with Oxford United, which West Ham won 2-1,” stated our club insider.
