West Ham’s win over bitter rivals Spurs feels like a potentially big moment in our season.

Its fair to say that following a lacklustre display in the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at the weekend, the mood wasn’t overly confident going into the match against Ange Postecoglou’s side – bu the 2nd half display saw a very determined West Ham side.

Our Hammers came from a goal down to turn the tide in the game, against Spurs on their home turf, to claim a memorable win and give the club a big 3 points in our quest for European football again next season.

The West Ham Way Podcast duo Dave Walker and ExWHUEmployee were both understandably thrilled with the result, and felt David Moyes’ side were deserving of the victory.

“Beating that mob away from home is an early Christmas present,” stated Walker. “What a result!

“The first half was far from ideal, but we showed a lot of character in the second 45 minutes. More energy, more desire, more intent with the ball and ultimately we deserved the win. Absolutely buzzing”

Our club insider Ex also shared Walkers joy, feeling that this is a moment to enjoy amidst the relatively high levels of negativity of late.

“As West Ham fans we suffer the bad times for moments like this,” said Ex. “First half we were not really in it, but what a second half that was.

“It’s lovely to go there and pick up 3 points and continue to look healthy in every tournament we are in this season. Another 3 points and that league table is going to start to look very interesting!

“Shout out to the players and Moyes who after Palace has the usual negativity to deal with – but they should savour the positive comments today.”
